Sorry, ukhotstove. We'd certainly love to have you in the league running some team though. What exactly was it that interested you about Edmonton?

If it's that it was a DH team, so is Churchill. And I'd say Churchill is a perfect candidate for a move seeing as how Churchill is a very small community in northern Manitoba that would have no chance in real life of supporting a team. I could see it moving to Regina (Regina Bisons?) to have a more natural rivalry with Saskatoon. Regina, IIRC, was named after an English royal if that interests you.

Or if you liked that Edmonton is a fixer upper, you might be interested in Hamilton as it is in a similar situation.
Fixer upper and the name, I like a team with an old fashioned name something that shouts out to you where they come from as well.

Churchill has just been taken by a serious long-time gamer! Hamilton is the only team left. Excellent!

I'd just like to point out that our last 23 threads date back to only 2 days ago! The league is really hopping with activity at the moment and I love it. It's so much I decided to up the # of recent threads shown on our portal from 12 to 24. Thanks, all you new guys!

Now let's fill that last opening in Hamilton!

The Ottawa Windigos have come open. What's a Windigo, you may ask? Well, they're the giant man-eating monsters from Native American lore. You may also know him as the abominable snowman-like character from Marvel Comics. Anyway, they're open and looking for a leader.

We're still in the early stages of FA. No one has signed yet, but that's sure to change soon.

Toronto will likely come open in the very near future. They're a bit of a mess at the moment however so you should be ready and willing to take on a major rebuild. Not only did they almost lose 100 games last year, but they have one of the highest payrolls in the league with more than their fair share of bad contracts. And if that wasn't bad enough, they have one of the worst minor systems. I haven't looked at it too closely yet, but on the surface it's looking like this is a good candidate for burning everything down to the ground and starting over. So if you want a challenge, this should be one.
