Hardball Heroes 1921 Historical Opens!

League Name: Hardball Heroes (HH)
Main URL: Hardball Heroes....A TSW Out of the Park collaboration!
Reports URL: BNN Home Page
Boards URL: Coming Soon
Commissioner(s) OOTP Forum Username(s):Cooleyvol
Email Address: cooleyatcharterdotnet
OOTP Version: OOTPX
Game Needed: Required
Players: Historical
# of Teams: 16
Export Deadlines Days And Times: Twice Weekly
League Time Per Sim: 15 days
First Season: 1921 (history back to 1901 No Pepper - An OOTP Alternate Baseball History)
Latest Season: 1921
Special Rules & Settings: FA used
Currently Available Teams: New league

Hardball Heroes is born of the popular No Pepper Dynasty having started in 1901 and through No Pepper's dissolution by Congress following the 1920 season.

Read the dynasty to get a better grip on what Hardball Heroes is born of. It was well thought out and not thrown together, just as the league will be.

Human owners take over at this point in history and redraft their clubs (one roster player from 1920 may be protected in the first round of the initial draft.

Make no mistake, this is for the hardcore historical fans (and followers of No Pepper, hopefully). This league takes me back to my roots when I found (and bought) OOTP2.........yes 2, to run a league that began in just this year (1921) called Glory Days. Some may remember one of the first ever OOTP historicals that lasted well into the 40s.

Hardball Heroes is the rebirth (for me) of that league and one that I've never forgotten. If you're a hardcore historical lover, Hardball Heroes is the league for you.

Interest should be PMed to me here. I am working on the forums and rules, but the main page and owners pages are up at the league url.

This league will be housed on the Total Sports World universe, using a large sports community's forums as our own. Come explore our own history of baseball while you meet many new friends.

FTR, it might be prudent to give me a list of teams to save me contacting you if your team is taken for a second choice. I'm getting lots of interest, so obviously its not going to be 'first come, first served'.

Well since all players are being dumped into the draft, I don't care too much.

I would love the White Sox, but will pretty much take whatever IF they were claimed ahead of me.

Here is a list of teams I'd rather have over the others though, just in case.

White Sox
Browns
Senators
Athletics
Giants

Teams will more than likely be awarded tomorrow, so if you haven't expressed interest, there's still time.

Any hard-core historical simmers out there...........this is the league for you if you've been looking for a 20s league.

All I'm saying is that I could potentially see a Cardinals/Dodgers rivalry. So, yeah...Cardinals would be good.

I'm looking forward to this.
