Strike out the Side Baseball (SOTSB)
![]() Full League Name: Strike out the Side Baseball II (SOTSB) Main URL: OOTPX Reports URL:OOTP SQL Utilites Login Page - StatsLab for OOTPX Boards URL: OOTPX Commissioner(s) OOTP Forum Username(s): VictoryHmmr4 Email Address: -- OOTP Version: 10.4.31 Game Needed: Yes Players: Real # of Teams: 30 Export Deadlines Days And Times: Every second day at 8pm League Time Per Sim: 10pm EST First Season: 2009 Latest Season: 2009 Special Rules & Settings: Currently Available Teams: Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs Welcome everybody to SOTSB II. We bring to you an opportunity to join the ranks of a well established league. We are currently in our first season, about half way through the season. What makes us a well established league is the fact that half the league has been playing together for well over 4 years. SOTSB II is our 2nd go at a league that has done so well in the past. After about a year's break from the game, the managers banded together once again to start up our most favorite hobby. Now's a great time to join the league because it's still fresh. Please join our forums and check out what SOTSB II has to offer. - Sims are done every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 10pm EST (sometimes later) - Each sim consists of 14 days - Rules are simple, all we ask is you export and stay ACTIVE on the forums - Being active does not require you to type out articles every week. Rather we choose to say a couple lines in our "Sim Discussion Thread" every week, saying a little about how your team performed. - Ratings are 1 - 10 , while potential is also 1 - 10 - We use a full minor league system (AAA, AA, A, SA, R) - The draft is done through the forums at the start of every year (normally Round One is completed by June) I'd like to say that we cater more to the dedicated, but casual owner. Write-ups are not required in this league. What we do require though is participation on the forums. The best way to participate on the forums is to update trade blocks, make some deals, and most importantly take part in our 'Sim Discussion Thread'. The casual owner most likely does not have the time to write up a league article, making our discussion thread very easy for the owners to participate and say a little about their teams to keep everyone interested. We encourage you to check out our league and see what we have to offer. Thank you. Last edited by checkyoursixx; 01-28-2010 at 07:55 PM. |

its all good, i like 7-day sims so that it actually gives the managers a chance to pick the lineups. u cant do that with 14 so its all based on luck/cpu choice. Anywho im sure this is a great league, looks awesome.

We originally were a 7 day sim league in the original SOTSB. Not really sure why we switched to the 14, I myself prefer 7 days. The majority vote was a 2 week sim instead of 1 so we went with that.
I understand what you mean with the 7 day lineups. I just decided to use the depth chart system instead usually giving my bench guys in every 4 or 5 games. I'm enjoying it. |

The Blue Jays have been taken.. all teams are full for the time being.
In the next day or so we may be parting ways with another GM who's not showing enough activity. Reply to this thread or send me a PM if you'd like to get first chance at the team. |

This is a quality league that has a great bunch of quality GM's.
I was the Brewers GM until recent computer issues forced me to resign from the league, so if your interested in jumping in the league and taking over a playoff caliber team, go in touch with checkyoursixx and let him know your ready to go. |

The Atlanta Braves have been made available..
In the next couple days it's possible we make available the Cinncinati Reds. Unfortunately the Reds owner has been with us for 4+ years so we're being forgiving on him but it's possible we open that spot as well. We are starting our first playoffs after the holidays. So the next couple of days will be slow until the new year. Now's a good time to get in and get a feel for the team without having to make any crucial decisions. Looking forward to your replies. Thank you. Edit: The Braves are actually in the playoffs. So you'll have a week or so to adjust your lineup before it starts. Last edited by checkyoursixx; 12-28-2009 at 03:33 AM. |

We have recently opened up teams in Chicago and Detroit. Free agency is about to begin tommorow and would be a good time for one of these teams to make a push for the AL Central.
We are starting our 2nd season now so both the Sox and Tigers have similar teams to when they started. The Sox look like they need to rebuild as they have an aging team who is not performing up to par. The Tigers on the other hand look like they are in better shape. The Sox have the budget to turn around quickly but rebuilding for one more season may be the best bet. If interested, please leave me a PM and I will get you set up. Thank you |

Bump... the Blue Jays have been GMless for a good 3 weeks now. We can't seem to find our last GM.
We are currently in June 2010. So you haven't missed very much. Almost half way through our 2nd full season. Activity at SOTSB II has been better then ever lately and we would love for you to be part of it. If the Blue Jays aren't your taste then theirs a possibility we open up the Philadelphia Phillies. Send me a PM if your interested in either team. Thank you |
