Beta Baseball entering its 31st season!

...And we're looking for three more owners to fill vacancies. We're a fictional 12-team league using talent only (with roughly 1970's settings, such as 4-man rotations and somewhat reduced home run totals) that's been around for a heck of a long time, with a mix of veteran owners and more recent additions. More than half our owners have been around for over 10 seasons, and more recent owners are great to have around. Our website is located at www.betabaseball.com.


So, here are the teams we have available:



George Falls Barons

A once glorious franchise that needs some care. It has some very solid pieces (Dutch Kuntz is the best pitcher in the BL, and Bertram Teichmann is arguably the best hitter there as well), but the franchise still can't put it all together. Still, you'll be starting with a solid team and all the tools you need to be a contender right away.



Lennongrad Coléoptères

This team needs very serious help. Complete rebuilding is something to be considered. Famous for its formidable bullpens, the team has a surplus of relievers, and four ML-caliber players. If you want a challenge, this is it, as they won a mere 61 games and finished last in 2034.



Skojpp Bombers

Firt off: they play in our equivalent of Coors Field. If that didn't make or break it for you, here are more details: historically the second best franchise, it's recently been a middling team, usually finishing 3rd or 4th out of 6. They have two young star pitchers, Bubba Gibson and possibly best pitcher in the league Don Oldreive (only 22 years old!), and they can count on other young stars Karsten Stich and Bastien Martin. If George Falls is a contender and Lennongrad a total wreck, Skojpp is somewhere in between, so if you like sluggers and want to take a middling team over, you've found your match.
