waaaaaay too many injuries

Is there anyway to turn down the injuries? I don't think i've made it through a single season with losing a big time star to injuries, most of them lengthly, plus many many injuries to lesser players.

go to the game dropdown menu, and select 'game setup.' there should be a setting for injury frequency. I recommend setting it to low, but the injuries could be because your players' injury frequencies are high

My '69 Expos team is getting slaughtered. I have injuries set to Very Low. I have all the patches installed. Two SPs, one key MR, and my RF (Staub) all crocked for 4-7 months, variously.

This wouldn't even be realistic for an NFL sim, let alone baseball.

Is there a way to manually fix this?

Injuries have researched thoroughly on this site by various members. The bottom line is that the injury model is dead on accurate.New members are invariably taken aback by the number of injuries when they first start playing the game, until of course they do the research themselves and find that yes there are that many injuries in baseball.

Playing in a cold weather area heightens injuries, but besides that it's really just bad luck.

Thats not true at all. While many members have accepted the injury model for what it is, most all board veterans know that the long term injuries occur too often for hitters and are too infrequent for pitchers.

Yeah. Sucks when it happens to you, but it's not at all out of line. Think of the Mets this year: Beltran, Reyes, Delgado, Santana, Nieve, Neise, Martinez, and on and on. Check the real life mid-year injury reports. At least a third of the teams have injury situations comparable to those cited above.

Yeah, pitcher injury frequencies are way way off. The main frustration I have is the effect that has on pitcher career stats.

I was talking about the number of injuries, which is what the OP was complaining about, not the injury distribution.
