Importing/Exporting for online league not working

I am running the 10.4.36 patch version on Linux (Debian Sid) on the AMD64 platform. OOTP has been running flawlessly up to this point.

I am in an online league, and just a couple of days ago, the commissioner changed the FTP password, releasing a new copy of the full file, which I downloaded. I removed all contents of the old league directory and replaced it with the new file. When trying to import the updates, I now get a "Could not open a connection to the FTP server" message. However, this is not occurring for anyone else in the league. I believe the others are running Windows. When I had an up-to-date file, exporting was not working either.

I do not have another online league to test this with. Please let me know if there is any additional information you need.

First, I would try opening the config files (from the OOTP preferences page....and then with equivilent of Wordpad) and see if the FTP_passive mode is set to 1....(if it isn't then change it and save).
If it is already set to 1...try changing to 0 (and save).

Another thing to try is different passive mode settings with your Firewall
disabled.
If no joy, then I would try to get the previous full file (10.4.31) and do a full uninstall/install (all the 10.4.X are compatible) as this was your last working file.
10.4.36 was only released to cure the FTP problems that were happening.
If you weren't having any then there was no need to update.
(although it seems a bit of a coincidence that your Commish has changed the settings and then you are having issues).

See how you go after all this.

There is no such field in the app config file (or engine config, for that matter) -- there are fields for ftp timeout and ftp buffer size, but that's it.

Sorry for not being clear -- I was on 31 before, and moved to 36 in an attempt to fix this problem. As I said, I can't find a field for passive mode, and there is no active firewall (unless the router has one.)

That was when it happened, and it may be related to that. However, it's not happening on anyone else's machine, just mine. This leads me to believe it could be a Linux-specific issue, but I can't be sure.

Try putting one in....
(I have seen this mentioned before where it is missing in the app config file)

line should be

ftp_passive_mode
1

Or try unistall/install of the full version (10.4.36).
Before install remove/delete the config files to allow new ones to be written.

Tried setting the ftp_passive flag both ways, no luck. Tried a full reinstall, regenerating config files -- made my install look a bit cleaner, but still no luck. No real idea where to go from here.
