Site host?

Hey I plan to maybe start a league on a sports forum or a private one . But before I can do so I know I need a site host. Since playing OOTP and being in leagues. How do you do it with OOTP11? Also and idk if this is allowed on the site here but does anyone know where I can get a free site to host the file on? Something that is easy to setup. Like I said, i know have everything else works in the game just dont know about the web post. Can someone give me some help in figuring the site out? Please and Thx

I can't really give you much advice on how to find good free webhosts. None of them really tolerate OOTP leagues much because of file counts and file sizes, as well as bandwitdh usage, as jazzrack explains. But I can set you up with a free trial site on AllSimBaseball.com. It lasts a week. More than enough time to figure out how stuff works. AllSimBaseball sites are already customized for OOTP, so you can pretty much plug in the FTP info I send you after setup, and you're off and running.

If you'd like to give it a go, all I need is your name and email address. AllSimBaseball never collects any personal information, whatsoever. PM me and I can get you going rather quickly.

allsim is great- the AHIBA3 has been there for its 6 seasons. Simnation can set you up free I think you need a domain name but they can host you free.

Ok I was able to get on on my email. On the index site how do I log in to set everything up. I got a forum up somewhere so we are good on that.

Read the email CAREFULLY. Read it 5-10 times, if necessary. It's pretty easy. The main thing I should stress is don't go to fast. One step at a time. See the bottom of the email. Your site has a "Getting Started" page. PLEASE look carefully at everything. No other webhost will make it this clear as it pertains to OOTP.
