Exclamation Road to Release 10: OOTP 11 to be Released on April 12th/14th!

Road to Release 10: OOTP 11 to be Released on April 12th/14th!
We're putting the finishing touches on OOTP 11 as we speak, and so we're happy to formally announce the release date for OOTP 11:

OOTP 11 will be released to preorder customers on April 12th, and to the general public on April 14th!

When the game is available, preorder customers will receive an e-mail at the address they used when they purchased the game. We will have plenty of mirrors and a torrent set up for the first few weeks to handle all of the download traffic.

Important Change in Preorder Promotion!
We've had a slight change in plans regarding our preorder promotion. We've gotten a lot of feedback from customers who want to support small software development by paying the full price for the game, but who also want to be able to download the game early. (Thanks, guys!) As a result, April 7th will now be the last day of the $10 preorder discount! You can still preorder at the retail price of $39.99 between April 8th and April 11th and thereby qualify to receive the game two days early.

Preorder now!
Short and sweet for today's Road to Release, but if you haven't preordered yet, the clock is now ticking down. April 7th is the last day of preorder, so you're down to six days to get the best baseball simulation game out there for a 25% discount. In this economy, we're all counting change, but yet we still need some entertainment. Some things that cost as much or more as a preorder copy of OOTP 11:
  • MLB 2K10 ~$60
  • 1 carton of cigarettes ~$50
  • 1 tank of gas for an SUV ~$50
  • Night at the movies for two ~$40
  • Strat-o-matic 1977 season roster ~$22
There is no doubt about it, OOTP 11 is a GREAT entertainment value. Preorder now for Windows/Mac or for Linux!

40 bucks for the movies? what theatre are you going to? Are you going to the IMAX version of Star Wars VII?

I dunno. Add in concessions and all that and $40 isn't that hard to believe.

Oh, well thats why...I sneak stuff in from CVS so I spend closer to 25.
Who pays 5 for water?

Of course I'm a movie madness veteran so I should figure regular folks spend that much.

It's gonna be getting pricier too, they're gonna start charging almost 20 a ticket for 3d movies. Both my sisters work at a movie theater though, so I just go for free.

Well, I mean, tickets here are in the $12-$15 range. Add in two sodas and two small popcorns or treats, and you're at $40 there. I don't even think it's on the high side of the estimate.

Anyway, stop nitpicking! I went last week and it came out to 38.50! Plus, the quarters fell out of my pocket and rolled down in the sticky stuff, and I didn't want to pick them up after that, so $39!!!

Just exactly what type of movie theatre do you frequent....never mind I dont want to know.

Anyway, been away for a couple of years but getting the desire for text sim games again so I am back and just completed my pre-order. Thanks for the Road to Release articles. They were the final selling point that convinced me I need to make time to play OOTP again.

I just saw an article about the ticket prices going up for 3-D theaters. It said that a family of four in New York going to the new dragon movie with sodas and one popcorn costs $63.

Good. haha. I was saying the same thing and if someone else is saying it it means I didn't just make it up. I often wonder how much I know is actually fact vs. just what I believe to be fact cause I think I learned it from a real source.

And you're still paying $30 too much. For Hot Tub Time Machine anyway... stupid.

It wasn't the worst movie i've seen. I saw a matinee of it last weekend and was ammused. I heard good things about the Dreamworks Dragon film though. If Dreamworks keeps it up, I might start grouping them with Pixar.

Really, are insults necessary even if you don't like silly comedies.

Regardless, 'Hot Tub' has gotten pretty good reviews. It's no Ben Hur, but it isn't trying to be.

I've taken the 12th off, so it had better be there then! I have suspended my mohawk threats because the announcement was made in the nick of time but trust me THERE WILL BE HAIRCUTS if "the 12th" turns out to be at 11:59PM PST!!!!

No. Not even a little. Just the whole concept of hot tub time machine, along with many other television shows and feature films put out today.

Apologies if I misinterpreted the original remark and, no, I wan not calling you stupid especially considering the movies which are in my DVD collection. All I can say is, don't look down on 'Eurotrip' until you have seen it. Very funny and one of the best cameos ever.
