Stuck at 55 percent while loading game

When I try to load OOTP11, it gets stuck at 55% during the "player database", and won't load the game anymore. Any thoughts?

It's never happened to me. Can you be more specific as to what you see on screen -- the exact message? Then maybe we can help research it with you.

I click on the game icon, then I click on Continue(Dyansty), the top button, then it says "Please Wait, Loading Database", then below that "Loading Players", then "55%".
