New to the series

Hi. I just purchased this game. I am trying to get a career league going but whenever I start it up I always end up with fictional players. What am I doing wrong? I would like to start in 2010 with real players.

2 things.
1. start with the MLB quickstart from the main loading page, as in dont create a new league...if you bought this at an Apple store or Apple Download I dont believe that option is there.
