Why aren't there any leagues that allow you to play out your games?
In most Diamond Mind Baseball leagues, owners play out their home games. It really is a great format, since you get to "see" your team play. Visiting teams simply send along instructions or program in their lineups, which the home manager puts in before the game begins. Are there any OOTP leagues that use the "play your home games" format?

Would be too slow to do via the online format, if were even possible. I don't think live simming on your own machine would be possible.

There was an OOTP 6.5 league called the MBLS- Metleagues that you could play your home games and then import the results to the commish. It was pretty cool and I believe the league is still going with a few less teams, hard to fill I guess. Anyhow, if you do a search you'll find it. I found it awhile ago.
I don't think that feature is possible with XI.

I use to have a league in which I had the league vote on a game of the week. I would list about 5 potential games and the predicted starters for each team. I would then play the game and have the computer manage the two teams. I would get all the owners who wanted to join in a yahoo chat room and do the play by play of the game. It was pretty fun and something that could be done easily in most leagues.

Replays can be watched, the Commish just has to include them in the uploads when the league file is updated after a sim.

My online league runs live sims and several online leagues that I support via AllSimBaseball.com, do as well. Visit www.yugma.com. The commissioner has to sign-up and install the software but the rest of the league doesn't have to. Then, on sim day, the commissioner can broadcast his desktop and show all the action live. Best of all...it's free!
Oh, and AIM Pro can do the same thing!
