Getting two different overall ratings from same scout?

I have ratings set to display as numbers rather than stars. So when I view a character, the first page will show me their various ratings, including their Overall and Potential ratings under "Other Ratings." Then when I go to the Scouting Reports tab, the same scout will list a different Overall and Potential rating. All the other ratings that show up on the Scouting Reports tab are the same across both pages. It's not that the report on the Scouting Reports tab is outdated, either.

So which Overall Rating should I be looking at, then? Is there a reason why I'm getting different numbers?

I wonder about this one myself, as I've also noted the discrepancy between the star/overall ratings in the two screens. What seems to be the case is that the ratings in the "Scouting Reports" screen is the most accurate representation of how your scouting director rates the player. The OSA ratings are included as well for a "neutral" (but oftentimes inaccurate) assessment.

Why the rating on the main profile screen is often different from the same rating by the same scouting director on the same date in the Scouting Reports tab is a mystery to me. I don't know what it's supposed to represent. It's kind of a pain as well in that this is the rating that appears when you have sorted lists of players, which is a disadvantage when you know there is a rating that represents your scout better is more difficult to access.
