International Scouting

How does International Scouting work? I increased my international scouting budget and every once in a while my scouting director will send me an email about a scouting trip to a random country and some random prospect he found there. It happens maybe 2-3 times a season and they are usually pretty garbage prospects. Is there any more control available on this or is that the extent of it?

Example: I'll get an email about a trip to Korea where my scouting director discovered a 24 year old MR with 1 star potential. Can you set his scouting destinations and see additional prospects he evaluated there?

I have noticed a few superstars who were discovered by teams through international scouting. I've also seen a couple 16 year old players get signed to contracts. But my scouting director has yet to turn up anyone substantial (and his scout ratings are legendary across the board)

Maybe your scout isn't very good at international scouting?

His rating for international scouting (as well as every other category) is "legendary"... Which I think just points to the accuracy of his reports, right?

I've yet to land an international FA of note in v11. It appears to be very dependent on luck even if you spend a good amount of money in this area and have an outstanding scouting director.

In v8, you managed a team of scouts and sent them to different countries to turn up the hidden players. It was quite easy to get very good players that way (at least three above-average to star quality players on my current team were found this way, and I traded away another star-quality prospect), so I think the current system is an improvement in both realism and ease of use.

For int'l scouting, his rating should correlate with the success of finding players in both quality and, I think (maybe?), quantity.
