just want to be real sure on this, so I thought Id check on the forums...

if a player has an MLB contract, is placed on waivers by another team, and then I claim him, I only have to put him on the secondary roster, right? Or can he refuse to go to the minors?

If you claim him from another team and want to put him in your minors, then you will have to put him on waivers to get him there. Unless of course he still has options left. In this case I doubt he does since the team you claimed him from had him on waivers. Of course they may just have done so to put out feelers and see if there's any interest in him, but chances are they were trying to send him to the minors too.
