Import Players

Is there a way to import a batch of players versus just one at a time? I am trying to start a league in 1900, with all players as rookies. To accomplish this I am importing Honus Wagner, Cy Young, Cap Anson, etc. from their rookie seasons and deleting their 1900 likenesses. I also want to import all players that debuted from 1871-1899 but have found that typing in each player code on the Import Historical Player screen takes forever. Is there an easier way to accomplish this?

I've tried exporting/importing rosters but if the league year is not the same, the imported players will age to the new season (i.e. 1890 to 1900 adds 10 yrs).

Try importing specific teams. I.E. Import the 1890 Cleveland Spiders for Cy Young. Delete the team after assigning Young to a team that you plan on keeping in your league. Not the fastest way but an alternative.

Thanks. I gave that a shot as well but had errors with teams not importing correctly. Ended up importing each player manually.

I wonder if that would work for me also. after switching between DB's on 11 I am without historical rookies 2005-2008 2005 alone has 206 players and I am only in the N's after 8 days. still have 3 more yrs to do. I just dont want to have to abandon this league if i have issues.

Sorry that didn't work for you. If you have time create a fictional league and mess around with trying to import teams.

No I didnt. I am going to completely redo my league. I had another issue where I didnt set up import historical rookies correctly. Ichiro went to Detroit, Prior to Baltimore, so I am redoing it.
