Kinda concerned why you have so many teams open. I am interested in Illinois Cardinals.

why so many open?

may have something to do with it being a slow simming league,
may have something to do with the restrictions on free agency and trades,
may have something to do with it being fictional...

these have been mentioned and i'm sure there are others.

anyhoo...we continue.

SLCBA 2nd Season less than a sim-month away!

StatesLeague.com

The 2nd season of the SLCBA is about to get underway and GM's are needed.

The TSN predicts Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Arkansas will be newbies making a serious run at the playoffs, while they expect the California Sun to be dethroned as National Champion.

Very tight races are expected in every division.

Will somebody in the Pacific Division finish above .500?
Will Melvin Brumbach of Nebraska stay healthy and hit more than 30 homeruns?
Is Tim Sinclair really worth $2 million a year?

New this year is the addition of a $100 prize (real US funds) to be paid to the GM who takes his team to the National Championship for 2012.

Season 2 Spring Training 2 Days Away!

StatesLeague.com

With a $100 grand prize for the winning GM, you need to grab a team now to shape your team for the regular season.

The Sporting News
Releases Pre-Season SLCBA Predictions
Portland, Me., Feb. 4, 2012(BNN): For more than 100 years, The Sporting News
has been playing out baseball seasons on paper before they are played out on the
field and on computers. This year the tradition continues.
Despite picking the Illinois Cardinals to be one of the top teams in the SL East in
2011, TSN proudly releases their predictions for the coming SLCBA season.
SL East: Atlantic Division
Maine – basically, the same club as in 2011.
Pennsylvania – potential: young at the plate, old on the mound.
New York – feared at the plate, fair on the mound.
Massachusetts – Patriot pitching proves problematic.
SL East: Southern Division
Georgia – By a nose.
Virginia – Will threaten throughout.
Florida – If the pitching comes through, look out!
Alabama – Will make the division interesting.
SL East: Western Division
Indiana – In a tight race.
Arkansas – May make this a 101 game race.
Iowa – Hurting and will look to youngsters.
Illinois – Will not find home-plate very often.
SL West: Plains Division
Kansas – Bats may take them home this year.
Texas – Will be very close.
Nebraska – Will be very close.
Oklahoma – A step behind the rest of the division.
SL West: Mountain Division
Wyoming – Pitching too good to put them anywhere else.
New Mexico – Batting will lead but pitching will get them only close.
Colorado – Climbs out of the cellar to make some noise.
Montana – Few too many holes for this division.
SL West Pacific Division
Arizona – Slim nod to dethrone defending Champions.
California – Improved batting but pitching to hold them back.
Washington – Will improve but a step behind in pitching department.
Nevada – Looking like 2011 all over again.
