Minor League Tie-Breakers?

In our online league (PEBA), we just had a season finish with two AA minor league clubs tied for second place. Second place teams qualify for the playoffs, but the OOTP engine selected one of the two tied teams for the playoffs and eliminated the other one. I assume some sort of tie-breaker rule was invoked but have been unable to locate what that rule would be. In face to face competition, the eliminated team had beaten the qualifier 7 of 12 games.

Can anyone point me to the appropriate place in the manual, or offer an explanation of how OOTP resolves ties for playoffs?

Thank you.

Hey Bob, I just noticed that you posted this question in the OOTP 11 online leagues sub-forum. You'll have a much better chance of receiving an answer if you post in the OOTP 12 General Discussion forum. Not many people looking in this sub-forum nowadays (as the light response to our recent ad attests to).
