Lost All Sound in OOTP 11

I loved the background effects with OOTP 10, but when I upgraded to OOTP 11 I lost all my sound. Now my baseball games are as silent as tombs. What happened? How do I get the sound back? I have sound enabled in the Preferences and in the Options page that pops up just before I play the games I want to manage. (I manage one team in a fantasy "world" baseball confederation of 30 teams.) I checked the "Sounds" file and it is full of .wav files referring to cheers and boos, etc. The game doesn't seem to be accessing this file. I'm out of ideas as to what to do.
