Uniform Number generated on jersey?

This was brought up in an OOTP 12 thread some time ago but I have been wondering just how possible - as OOTP baseball advances - it would be to have the uniform numbers generated on the jersey for all players, coaches and managers. And as players, coaches and managers change teams, would it be possible to code it in the game where the numbers would change as well?

Would anyone else like to see this added?

I would love to see this and have it tied to the number we give them or atleast be able to edit there numbers

Not to be down on this idea, but where would the number be displayed? It won't be seen on the back. It might be seen on the sleeve. And very few teams display numbers on the front. I like the idea of game generated uniform numbers I just don't see how it would work with way FaceGen is used right now.

Cephasjames, I'm always interested in your input. This idea consists of taking the new larger player pictures and zoom out just enough so it would show the generated city or nickname as in your idea but also the number. I am aware that not all teams have the number on the front (i.e. Yankees, Cubs, Red Sox). This idea would be for the teams to do display the number on the front below the city or nickname (i.e. Cardinals, Rockies, Royals, Phillies). And there could even be an option to turn it off in the Global Setup.

If there's an option for each team, like the beard option, then I'm down with it. The more FaceGen is able to create in-game to improve the player's immersion the better.

I think, if we want this to be game generated, we might need to keep it simple. Most teams (this is so unscientific ) that use numbers on the front of the jersey put it below the text on the left side. That would be the best way to do it in game since it is the most used.

Perhaps there could be a sub-menu like Cephasjames mentioned about the beard that could "ask" the placement - on the right or left.

Would be great.. as long as the game would generate era specific numbers for players.. I really hate having to change them all of the time.

Agree 1,001%. I read your thread in the OOTP 12 board and yes it does get to be a load having to go through and change numerous numbers all season long.

No sir, I'm not going to campaign for it. I don't think I make a very good politician. It was just my way of asking if anyone else liked this feature well enough to be added to the game - whether it be in OOTP 13 or OOTP 14.

Would you campaign for an overall effort to upgrade the facegen technology? I think it was you who made the point that since its implementation into OOTP, it has not really been enhanced. I agree and think it should be something o be looked at.
Doing something like what Lollar is asking would be an enhancement for sure.

I'm in favour of having the uni numbers more prevalent in SOME way. On the jersey is a cool idea, but I had suggested something a while ago that I think would be cool: On the field, instead of displaying faces next to the name, show the jersey number. Or, in true OOTP fashion, make it an option.
