Did Hell freeze over?

Something happened last night that hasn't happened for at least 3 versions or more, I made the post season. To top things off, I won the damn thing. My Beaumont Drillers beat the Birmingham Blaze 5 games to 3 winning the 1951 championship. In a way it was a bittersweet victory, as winning meant that after 5 fun seasons, I had to move on to a new team. Oh well, I look forward to seeing how my boys in Beaumont progress. They are the favorites to repeat in the I-10 division of the Gulf State League. Meanwhile my new team the Shreveport Mudcats are slated to finish dead last in the I-20 division.

Underworld cooling has been a long ignored problem. Apparently scientists can't find Hell.

Darn, I screwed up my own thread title. That should read "Did Branson freeze over"

Hell freezes over any time ones team does not make the playoffs.

Where children play without despair in back-yard slag piles, and folks manage to eat each day just about 30,000 lbs of bananas.

Sounds like Heaven, to me.

Was that a Harry Chapin reference on the OOTP boards? If so, I'm impressed

Andy Williams is learning the words. Once he does, this thread will have come full "Circle" back to Branson.

And it won't keep Harry from teaching Andy the words, either.

Bad thing is, I live in Shreveport Louisiana. Making fun of other cities is simply a cry for help.

I cannot think of a reason to live in Shreveport unless you perhaps own one of the casinos, are the president of Centenary, or are the city's mayor. On the other hand I can think of probably a hundred reasons to flee.

That pretty much sums things up.
