Issues with my schedule... help!

So I recently made a new league and it is basically a fictional league with the same setup as the MLB, except that all the teams are on the east coast of the U.S. The set number of games in a season is 162, and I have the balanced schedule option checked, and no interleague play. I simmed ahead 5 seasons before taking over a team and realized that each team only played 150 or 153 games each season - weird. I tried regenerating a new schedule and it did not work... please help!

EDIT: I wish to add that I wish that I could also have interleague play enabled, but the balanced schedule option will not allow that. Is there a way to allow interleague play and a balanced schedule, with 162 games? If I only check the "interleague play" option, will I get an MLB-like schedule?

Most likely that's because the structure has an odd number of teams in the division/s. Scheduler doesn't handle that well.
If you setup is the same as the mlb, Use one of the existing MLB schedules in the schedules folder and you'll get your Interleague and a real schedule, game times and all.
I'll assume your not using the MLB's 2013 league structure with the 5 team per division setup so any mlb schedule that matches 2012's structure will work. You just need to uncheck balanced games in your options and be in preseason to import it. If your using a MLB 2013 structure, then use the 2013 schedule and uncheck balanced games.
Actually any schedule in the schedule folder will work as long as it contains the same number or more games that you want played and the schedules' element line (Second line in every schedule) matches your schedule options. If the element line doesn't match your setup edit it so it does and it'll load.
