Newbie questions
Hello...sorry if these topics have been covered already, but here are my questions as I just downloaded this game....any help would be very appreciated. I am running OOTP13.......
1) I'm a Mariners fan, so I'm replaying the 2001 season.....I've gotten 4 games into it and the M's have won all 4. I am not seeing any pictures or correct team logos for any of the teams or players and have no idea how to get the game to put them up. Can I still do it within my current season without having to restart, and if so, how does one do it? I'd like to have the game put up real pictures if possible. 2) The background stadium picture isn't correct....Does it always just put the same picture up of the same stadium or is that customizable? I remember having a simulation game back in 2000, that seemed to use the same simulation verbage that this game does.....and in that game you could customize the stadium pictures. 3) If I wanted to pick what I consider the best 32 (or even 64) teams of the last century and put them in a league to simulate, is this possible? If so, how do you do it? Thanks for all the help..... Robert (XpertDBA) |

I can only be slightly helpful with these.
1) Yes you can have real pictures and uniforms. I do not know how. I would use the advanced search function at the top of the page. Start by searching: Pictures, facegen, maybe current pictures. I have seen threads that explain this I just cannot remember where they are. I think you want the All In One mod. 2) You can put the correct stadium pictures in the game. I am guessing All In One mod is your answer. If I remember correctly these are copyright issues and they are provided by customers as opposed to OOTP Developments. 3) Yes, sorry, I don't know how. Someone posted a thread about this in the last 2 months. Try searching for: historical team import team import and check the team import part of the manual. Good luck, Tom |

3) In a nutshell. Start Fictional league with the structure you want. Delete all the fictional teams, and players. Using the Historical Import button, select the teams you want. Below is a league I did.

#1: When you launch OOTP, click the link at the bottom of the window that says "Add-Ons Central." Look for the 2012 All-In-One Mod; download and install it. The next time you start a new MLB quickstart, all the logos and uniforms should be automatically correct. You can get them right without starting a new game, but it requires a bit of tedious work to transfer them all into your saved game. If you would prefer to not have to restart, I can go into how to do it.
EDIT: Just saw that you were looking for real pictures, not uniforms. Same thing, really, but the 2012 Quickstart does not contain real player pictures. For those, you'll want the "Complete Historical and Modern Photo Face Pack," also from the Add-Ons Central. #2: Go to the Team Menu -> Team Setup, and then click on "Edit Ballpark" at the bottom. Go to the "Pictures and Coordinates" tab and then click the little button next to the daytime or nighttime ballpark, whichever one you want to replace. Select the picture file to replace it, and OOTP will load it in. The thing is, you are then going to have to customize the Ball Locations and the Player Coordinates if you are going to play out your games with the ball animation on. #3: Has been answered. Must be doing something wrong
I have tried everything I know to get the stadium pictures to change within my current MLB season (not historical)......I downloaded the 2012 All In One Mod - Part 2 (Ballparks) file.....and then went back into my game and installed it.
I tried to do what the previous poster suggested and did: #2: Go to the Team Menu -> Team Setup, and then click on "Edit Ballpark" at the bottom. When I go into Advanced/Team Setup I don't see any option to "Edit Ballpark" at the bottom.....All I see is "Manage Team Colors, Logos and Textures" What do I need to do to get the right stadium pictures while I'm playing the games? I can't figure it out.....HELP!!!!!! |

Use these .prk files to autoinstall the ballpark pics. 2012 All In 1 Prk Files.rar You need to extract those to the same folder you have your ballpark pics in. Once you've done that, go the the teams setup screen and click the edit ballpark tab. On that screen click the Import/Export tab and select "Auto import all ballparks". Navigate to where you put the ballpark pics and the .prk files. everything will be grayed out...that's normal just click Select and the ballpark pics will automatically load. As for the ballfilght coordinates, you'll have to adjust them to your liking, but they're pretty close.. I only set one ballpark and copied the coordinates to all the rest. Enjoy and if you need more help, ask away. ![]() One more thing: If you make any changes at all to the ballparks, then make sure you export them again so you'll always have your changes the way you want them. If you don't, then everytime you start a new game, you're gonna have to do it all over again. To export the data, click the edit ballparks tab, on that screen click the import/export tab and select Eport all Ballparks. That'll overwrite the .prk files and keep your changes. Now anytime you start a new game, just follow the directions above and everything is good to go. Just the way you like it. Make sure you also make a copy of these and keep them safe just in case.
