Folding a League?

My Southern Baseball League(MLB) has played its last game. Approx. 12 teams will move to other Major Leagues while 2 will be headed to Triple A. Has anyone moved an MLB team to Triple A(rather than relagation)?

Before making the players on the remaining teams free agents,I will move most of the best players too current teams that are moving to other leagues.

Been playing with 4 Major Leagues and 1 Triple A League and the plan is too subtract one MLB and add a Triple A League.

You could release the players of the two teams to free agency, then move those teams to AAA
