AI releasing minor leaguers

So, over the past few seasons in one of my online leagues, I've been having a problem with the AI releasing players.

I have it set correctly so that I, the human manager, should be handling signings/releases, but when I press "have AI adjust all minor league lineups, rotations" it has been releasing players.

Not just any players, mind you. It's been regularly releasing my top prospects. Until I became aware that this was happening, I've lost 6 top prospects by this happening.

Why is this happening? Anyone else seeing this?

Do you have minor league roster limits?

It's because of the have AI adjust all minor league lineups, rotations button. That means you're asking the ai to do as it seems fit with your minors, including releasing who it wants to. Since it's not all that bright, it releases players you want to keep. If you want to control the minors yourself, you can't press that button.

Hi Matt -

One way you can still use that button and not have to worry about the AI releasing any players is to go into commish mode and then to team setup. Once there, tick the box next to "Prevent any AI roster changes".
