Rolling Autosave

Football Manager has this function and I think it could be useful in OOTP.

I don't backup my game all the time as it's time consuming but I do auto save daily. However it would be good if the game did an option for say 3 or so seperate save files incase the unthinkable happens & the save that hours upon hours have been poured into gets destroyed if your PC crashes or there's a power cut etc etc in the middle of saving it. Game is gone forever then.

Would imagine it'd be fairly easy to implement? I could do it manually if the game allowed me to Save as and give each save a different filename but this isn't possible either.

I'm surprised this didn't get more attention, and even more surprised, thinking about it, that we've actually gone through 13 OOTPs without a 'Save As' option. I can't imagine this being all that hard to code, and it would take care of by far my biggest problem with this franchise.

My post history on this board goes through a repeated cycle: Some enthusiastic sounding posts about gameplay, followed by a couple of borderline abusive posts after yet another league self-destructs on me, followed by 8 months of silence as I go off to play something else.

This process can't be good for my blood pressure; I'd probably buy OOTP 14 if this were added even if there were no other improvements.

Having a 'save as' option would be nice to create some redundancy. I also backup my OOTP folder to an external hard drive on a regular basis. This ensures that even if my computer crashes and I have to re-install my operating system that my franchise will not be harmed. To make it truly redundant you should back-up to an external source, which having a 'save as' option would help make easier by allowing you to choose a save location on that external hard drive.

The rolling auto save feature in FM has saved me countless times from crashes, corruption, power outages, child emergencies and the game locking up.
I usually set it to a three file weekly rolling auto save. If one of the above happens then I lose very little progress.

This would be a top feature request for me too, either Save As... or the rolling save. It would also be immensely helpful for when I'm changing a league structure and I'm not sure it is what I want.

This would be very nice, but backing up your files really doesn't take too long. It takes a very long time to create a backup, but if you consistently back up the game every in-game week or so, it doesn't take too much longer than a regular save.

Just saying. A rolling save feature would still be fantastic.
