Quick poll: You guys thinking of transferring your saves? Or starting fresh? What's the best argument you can make for this stance?

For the first time ever, will be transferring. Usually like to start clean with a new version, but I just can't let my current league go yet.

been single game managing my 12 franchise (now in 2020).
playing stats only with my own house rules (no more then 5 people in each trade, no draft pick trading), but ive won 100+ games since 2013 with the royals. feel i need a new challenge |

I am far too attached to my current players and future prospects to start over fresh. I'll be transferring both of my leagues.

With the new player creation and development engine, I would imagine this is the best version to begin a new league for many years.

My game started in 2002 with v4 (using Rolen17's real player roster) and has continued through v13. Now I'll be importing my game into v14.

I am transferring my historical fictional league that I started in v12. Why am I doing this and not starting new? Well, my league is only just about to start 1962, its got good history, and I really really really don't want to start again anew in the 1800s.

I have about 9 leagues I will transfer. Out of those 9 3 I have been playing since 11. I will create 1 or 2 new leagues on 14. 2013 White Sox quickstart and probably a new History of the White Sox. Trying to get my playable leagues done to 5 from the 13-15 I have now.

I've only ever bought OOTP 12, and skipped last year. I will be buying this year's game next week. Are you able to transfer saves from a game 2 versions in the past, or do you have to do it on the subsequent game only? I'd like to continue one of my OOTP 12 saves if I can, as well as a new one with KC (I think) for 14.

I'll be starting 2 new ones, a fictional based off a current league I have set up, starting with an inaugural draft, and a 2013 MLB with the Twins. I might also transfer my current fictional over, too.

I always start a new game. Always the same team (I add the expansion Vancouver Navigators in the current year MLB quickstart) but it is fun to see how quickly I can make the team into a contender.
I always add them to the NL west and can usually get above .500 in 2-3 years, and make it to the playoffs by year 3 or so. One year (OOTP 5 I think), I won the WS in year two. That was my best year by far. In 13, I went to the AL West. Took 4 years to get above .500 with a 100M payroll. Year five, made the playoffs and lost the wildcard playoff. Looks like it is back to the NL West in 14 |

got to start fresh with this new foreigner % set-up. I love setting up totally global leagues in the future and already have my player nationality %'s set for all my 12 leagues. Can't wait to see if the Cotonou Squirrels of Benin can compete with the huge market Super Eagles from Lagos in my West African league and if the Rio de Janeiro Marvels can make a run in the Association of the Americas playoffs and knock off a North American power like Mexico City or Manhattan.
this change is as perfect a change as I could have wanted, great work guys |

Never start over. Not when I've been running with this league for 25 calendar years. I might play around with a few test leagues or goof around with a MLB setup for a while. But my long-term league is, has been, and always will be my Continental League.
If I couldn't transfer, I just wouldn't upgrade to the new version. I played on Earl Weaver II from mid-1992 through 1999.
