Where to relocate Tampa Bay Rays to?

I am about to start my first OOTP14 MLB dynasty but have decided the Tampa rays need to relocate - but am torn as to where they should move to.

In my 'world' have narrowed it down to them either becoming the Brooklyn Atlantics or the Orlando Sunrays; they will stay in the AL East so the Brooklyn team would have a natural rivalry with the Yankees from day one - moving them to Orlando would keep a second team in Florida; both teams would have new stadiums built.

As I cant decide (I have visited both places and have enjoyed my time in both) I thought I would open the question up.

Logos for the prospective teams below - who should replace the Rays???

Florida doesn't deserve any sports teams with how pathetic their fan bases are....

My vote is for Brooklyn

I vote Brooklyn. Bring a team back to there. The Dodgers should have never left Brooklyn.

I think Charlotte is a great potential location on the East Coast. Call it Carolina, maybe the Cougars (old ABA team). Amongst your choices, Brooklyn all the way--tough to think Florida cities look very interesting to baseball (or football) right now.

P.S. I am not from Charlotte or anywhere else on the East Coast.

I'll second Charlotte. I go there 2-4 times a year and could see it doing better in a 35K-40K outdoor stadium.

Edit; should have an other choice

Am thinking of Charlotte at a later time - maybe also Virginia Beach as well (and Montreal)

I voted Orlando but after the comment about the bad fans I'll change it to Brooklyn. OKC would be my write in.

If you want to be realistic the cities most prepared to support an mlb team are Charlotte, Portland, Memphis/Nashville and San Antonio. Brooklyn would be great but the Yankees/Mets would never allow it.

Compromise and call them the Brooklyn Rays of Orlando to boost the poor fan support.

big difference from Tampa to St Petersburg LOL of what 5 to 10 miles. Although I do like their new ballpark which is situated on the shoreline literally much better than a dome stadium

If you live there (Which I did for 5 years) There is a HUGE Difference between St Petersburg and Tampa. They are the Tampa BAY Rays....Tampa BAY is the body of water between the two cities not a City it's self and as the crow flies (Across the Causeway Bridge) they are about a mile or so apart.....but now that you know the difference maybe...just maybe... you can appreciate my post for the Humor it was intended for!

The difference between Tampa and St. Petersburg is quite like the difference between chicken salad and chicken crap.
