New MLB Game

So I think I'm going to end my fictional game and start an MLB game with the 2013 roster set. My only issue (that has gone on for a long time) is that I can't decide who to be. I am a die hard Twins fan, so I'm always them, so I want to mix it up.

Any suggestions on who to be?

Also, should I use feeder leagues or not?

Depends on if you want a challenge from the get go. I play as the Reds most of the time (they're pretty stacked). I was thinking recently of starting fresh with the Mariners to switch things up (challenge for rebuild).

If you're looking for a challenge: Houston, Miami, or Seattle.

If you want to coast: Reds, Tigers, or Rangers are all pretty stacked.

If you want something in-between: Rays, Royals, and Nationals are good choices - they have potential, but tough competition.

EDIT: At least, that's what I've seen from playing a few MLB leagues over the last couple years.

I think I'm going to be the Astros, but still debating if I want to use feeders or not.

The Rays are a good choice for that.

Feeders rock.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

I was thinking about the Rays, but the Astros are basically an expansion team. They don't have much to build with, so going to hopefully have a good, solid draft the first year or two.

My Astros were horrible the first two years, got competitive in year 3 and now in year 4 we may make the playoffs.

That's my problem (if such a thing) is that once I turn a team around, I just dominate.

Well, I don't know that I'll have that problem. The problem I'm about to have is deciding if/when to trade off guys in the bigs to give prospects a chance. Carlos Correa, J.P. Crawford, and about 5 other guys are knocking on the door. Pick wrong and those playoff chances evaporate like rain in a Texas summer.
