Can't Edit Defensive Rating

For some reason I can't edit one particular player to give him a rating at 3B. He's an outfielder but played 3B in the past but currently has no rating at the position. I can make him a catcher or 1B but no matter how high I rate him nothing will show up under "resulting rating" in the editor.

Also, even though I change his infield ratings, the changes never show up in his profile.

2 things. 1. give him IF ratings not just 3B ratings. 2. Run an OSA rescout under League setup - Functions. It's along the far right side. or scout him automatically from player profile. Changes only occur instantly with 100% scouting on.

Actually, I don't believe so. It's only when scouting's off completely.

But yeah, for changes to appear, you have to re-scout the guy. And to elaborate on what The Game was saying, just giving a player experience playing a position isn't always enough. There's a certain threshold of ratings that he has to be over - you need a decent IF Arm to play 3B, or a good IF Range to play SS. Since you can't get the guy rated at 3B, try bumping up his IF Arm rating a bit, and see if that helps.

I use 100% scouting in 2 of my leagues. Every January 1st in my EBL vs MLB league I edit the next seasons stats for the players that I have stats for, they are instant.

Thanks for the help but I did all of those things and it still won't change. I game him very good infield ratings and experience at 3B as well as a rescout but he still shows no experience at third.

can you post a screenshot of him in the editor and his profile page. this is what i use for screenshots, there are other ways to do it i just dont know how.

Make sure the arm is rated above 70-80/200 or so.

The problem is your guy's infield error rating. A player needs a minimum infield error rating of 40 to get rating at 3b. Refer to this small chart: https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?...en&output=html
