The Game.......GAME ON!!!!!!

Closing in at 5000 post, he has his fingers in a little bit of everything here in the forum. introducing The Game
feel free to ask additional and follow up questions.

When and what version did you start playing OOTP?
I discovered OOTP originally with 6.5 around the time that 8 was out but did not like it. I then played the OOTP 10 Demo as 11 was coming out and downloaded 11 the next day and I have been hooked since.

What's feature of the game you love most?
Uniforms are my most favorite because they bring life to not only my fictional teams but also to real teams and the wonderous creations that the modders can make. Facegen also brings life to my fictional players and it is something I can do, whereas uniforms I still have no clue how to make.

What's favorite baseball team (any league)?
I am a White Sox fan.

How old you?
38 in January.

Where are you originally from?
Suburbs of Chicago

Are you a family man?
Yes, married with 2 kids.

What do you for a living?
These days Ebay, former hotel manger.

Besides OOTP do you have any other hobbies or interest?
Cycling. During the summer I rode 2-3 days a week. My longest trip was from Springfield to St Louis and back. (not all in one day)

I noticed I spend time at the dynasty forum why and for those who don't venture there why would you encourage them to do so?
Many people have interesting dynasty's and it is fun to read how some team in Alaska is doing or how some guy name Grandpa Joe wants to be the next Theo Epstein and take the Cubs to the promised land. Or how some guy created a league on a fictional planet from a trilogy and has transformed it into his version of what MLB should be.

Baseball has been called "America's Past Time" however over the last decade it has taken a backseat to the NFL and NBA in popularity why do you think so and your thoughts current state of MLB?
While MLB has it's own set of issues but it is a thinking mans game. Anyone can turn on a NBA & NFL game and figure out whats going on. You need to do some leg work before becoming a true baseball fan. Baseball is for the true sports fan.

If the OOTP team asked you be a consultant what will you change, add or remove for new version of the game?
3-D graphics would be my 1st choice. I always said if I were to win the Powerball lotto that I would give Markus the $$ needed to have OOTP be the best game anyone has ever played. It is already the best text game ever.

What modder's work do you personally enjoy?
I enjoy anyone's work who has contributed to any league I play. Irrecula has made the most uniforms for my 2 league EBL vs MLB & the ABF.

Is there any other game or show your currently enjoying you would like to let us know about?
Well my PC is a bit outdated so the other games I play are Madden 08, C & C & GTA San Andreas. Going to upgrade soon to play GTA V.

You need an edit on that last sentence.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

Cycling - love it. I used to peddle over a 100 KM a day, almost everyday for a long time. Still get out some, but not nearly as much as I'd like to.

Curmudgeoness when married and with kids is an inevitability.

I figured we'd have at least one twentysomething who was still living in his mother's basement.

So you're not a regular Joe, have no job or family, don't love baseball and don't contribute? Sorry, not believing that.

Btw the Game has his own theme song

"It's time to play the game
Time to play the game!
Mu, Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha
Ha, ha, ha

Its all about the game, and how you play it
All about control, and if you can take it

All about your debt, and if you can pay it

Its all about pain and whos gonna make it...

I am the game, you dont wanna play me

I am control, no way you can change me

I am heavy debts, no way you can pay me

I am the pain , and I know you can't take me

Look over your shoulder ready to run
like a good little loser, from a smoking gun
I am the game and I make the rules,
so move on out and you can die like a fool
Try and figure out what my moves gonna be
Come on over sucker why dont you ask me
Dont you forget theres a price you can pay
''Cause I am the game and I want you play!

It's time to play the game...
Mu, Ha, ha, ha, ha,
Time to play the game!

Its all about the game, and how you play it
Its all about control, and if you can take it
Its all about your debt, and if you can pay it
Its all about the pain and who's gonna make it...
I am the game, you dont wanna play me
I am control, no way you can change me
I am heavy debts, no way you can pay me
I am your pain, and I know you cant take me!
Play the game your gonna be the same,
Your gonna change your name,
Your gonna die in flames!
Ha, ha, ha, ha
Time to play the game!

Its time to play the game..

Ha, ha, ha, ha

Time to play the game!"

The Game is my all time favorite WWE superstar when he finished match after tearing his quad. Also makes for a great screen name and yes I have a theme song. If I ever were to do a new screen name it would be Eye Of The Tiger.

Well, that's better than Ted Williams.

Which two did I get wrong? Only the last two?
