AFBL - New Fictional, No Finances League

Hey everyone!

I have finally decided to put together a fictional OOTP league and am ready to get owners together to start the league. The AFBL (American Federation Baseball League) is be based off of the NPBL (an awesome league I'm in) since it is such a strong league to model after. I have just started the process of getting everything together and this will be my first stab at running an online league so be nice haha!

AFBL Rules/Constitution

Here is a rundown of the AFBL...
-OOTP14, recommend to own the game but not necessary
-16 original franchises (number not set in stone, open to more if the demand is there)
-Franchise will represent a US State and not a city
-No finances
-No waivers or minor league options
-No DH (would be open to adding to it if there is a majority)
-162 games, balanced schedule
-2 leagues of 8 teams (current plan for 16 teams)
-Playoff berths are 2 league champs who get 1st round byes and 2 wildcard teams per league based on winning percentage

If you are interested in interesting in joining my new league and becoming an original franchise owner, reply in this thread and indicate what state you would like to base your franchise in. Also send me an email (listed below) to help me out too!

I'm very interested, prefer fictional to real rosters. However I'm based in Australia, do you see any issues due to time differences etc?

No problem at all. We have owners in the UK in the league, NPBL, I'm basing this league off of.

I'd love to have you aboard if you're still interested!

No worries at all!

We are now at 15 owners. My starting goal was 16. I'll stay with that unless a bunch of requests come in. Thanks!

I was possibly interested until I saw that FA is handled on a first come first serve basis. So, commish and anyone else waiting around immediately after the update stack their teams?

Or am I missing something? Never played in a no finances league before. Does that mean that after the first draft there are no contracts to create FA each season?
