MLASB League Openings

HI, my name is Myles Philipp and I was on the OOTP forums looking for people to join our current OOTP 14 League. Below is the important information.
- We are currently on Monday, September 1, 2014 (So close to the playoffs of our second season).
- We sim 1 week during the regular season per simulation
- We sim Tuesday night, Thursday night, and Sunday during the day during the regular season
- We sim almost every day during the playoffs and offseason since that can get pretty slow
- Coaching and Scouting are turned off

We have a strong core of general managers but are looking to add to that. We don’t expect people to post all the time on our forums but do expect people to export regularly. We require aim and OOTP 14 and expect people to check in on aim every so often. People use that as a tool to trade and we do live simulations where we all meet up in the aim chat room and then use the web to show each game live during the week. We have a twitter account dedicated to the league and someone occasionally does podcasts for the league. We also welcome people to post articles about their team or the league on the forums. We currently have a few openings and there may be more to come as some people have dropped in their activity (which happens in an OOTP league). Below are the list of for sure open teams and teams that might be open soon due to inactivity. I have emailed those GMs and told them if they do not respond and become active their team will be given to someone else.
- Kansas City Royals
Currently 52-78. They have the 18th ranked farm system. The team was a playoff team in 2013 but without the GM being active the team has fallen this season. The team has a strong core of youth but needs the guidance of a good GM to keep the team strong.
- Texas Rangers [100% OPEN]
Currently 71-59 in one of the weakest divisions of the league. The team won the World Series last year. The team has had no GM all season and we need to get someone in there to try and repeat as champion. With one of the best pitching staffs in baseball this team should be competitive for a long time.
- Philadelphia Phillies [100% OPEN]
This team is currently 63-67. The teams needs GM to come in and either decide to go for it or sell and try and rebuild. The team has money to spend and currently has the 16th minor league system in the league.
- Pittsburgh Pirates
This team is currently 48-85. This team is a complete rebuilding project. They currently have the 14th best minor league system in the league and should have another top pick this year coming up in the draft. The team has a lot of potential and some good prospects but needs a strong GM to come in a keep that direction strong.
- St. Louis Cardinals
This team is currently 60-70, but is personally one of my favorite teams in the league. The last GM left the minor league system one of the strongest I have ever seen in OOTP. The team has a ton of strong youth already in the majors and still has the 2nd Minor League system. This team will be a juggernaut in the near future and just needs a GM to continue that path. This team will be a dynasty once it gets its talent to the Majors.
- New York Yankees
Currently the team is 56-73 and needs to start moving towards a complete rebuild. The minor league system is ranked 7 in the league and that is a good start. This is the Yankees and with the money this team could buy championships.

We are looking to make a league that lasts a long time and I hope to only find people who are interested in that. We do not want people joining who are looking for a 1 year league. We want people joining who want to build a franchise through the upds and downs. Regardless, I hope you the best in finding the right league for you.

Currently we have Texas Rangers, Cincinnati Reds, & Pittsburgh Pirates. The league is really active right now so we are cleaning house with people who haven't been attentive. We are looking for active GMs and the league is in a good place so if you have been looking for that league that stays active and interesting this is the one for you. We take all levels of people in OOTP from the beginner to the person who has been playing OOTP their whole life. We have a wide range in the league. We currently just started our second offseason.
