First round pick ditches baseball

I just had my first round pick tell me before the season started that he was going to play football....

Same thing happened to me. He was the #7 overall draft pick and on his fast track through the minors. Since I had my team in rebuilding mode I was so furious about it, I had to quit playing immediately for a couple of hours. That's how I upset I was. Love that feature though, although it's pretty cruel to a rebuilding franchise.

Did you get your bonus back? Should definitely sue for that....

Also, did you fire your scouting director for not being aware that the player may prefer football to baseball? Seems to be a pretty basic failure to perform his job function there.....

I.e. "disable player storylines" - ? Or - ?

Well, of course you can stop it by not playing the game. Nothing bad will ever happen if you don't play the game.......

Some people think the storylines are cool and and you piping in on every discussion of them to advocate turning them off is not helpful to anyone.

I never play with them on, but that doesn't mean I can let someone else enjoy them.....

Especially when the OP didn't seem to be complaining. The second person to post even said he loved the feature. Every single thread that has to do with storylines shouldn't have to turn into a "storylines are bad" discussion.

My dyslexia had the thread title reading, "first round dick pitches baseball". When you think about it not much was lost in the switch.

My top prospect also informed me of the same decision. However, since I wasn't too far removed from the inaugural draft I wasn't that familiar with my league or players so my first thought was "that sure does suck for that team". When I went to see how good of a player he was I noticed "hey that's my guy" and I just sat there staring at the screen for a couple minutes as I recalled how I drafted him as a prospect pretty early in the draft to be my franchise SS of the future.

O'well, to me these little quirks add to the game even if they do sometimes suck in the short term.

It's a disease, and they have it.

You can sue people? And scouts will tell you if they prefer football?
