Great Read
Amazon.com: The Universal Baseball Association eBook: Robert Coover: Kindle Store
Great read for some of my OOTP friends here that really get immersed in their fantasy worlds like me |

Better read:
The Book: Playing the Percentages in Baseball:Amazon:Books Tom Tango explains in detail what the percentage moves are in baseball. Reading it will make you a better OOTP player.

Talking about getting immersed in fantasy baseball worlds ... check out See the PEBA On $25 a Day by Ron Collins (known here on the forums as RonCo). It's a novella inspired by OOTP-driven fantasy. Ron parlays his experience in the Planetary Extreme Baseball Alliance into a wildly entertaining fiction that covers the United States. I love how baseball inspires this kind of creative dreaming, and I think it's so cool that OOTP can act as a facilitator for fiction. You can find See the PEBA On $25 a Day in a variety of formats and platforms:

Thanks! With any luck, we'll see the sequel finish over this coming season.

I have read this as well.
You may want to consider giving your girlfriend / fiance / wife a copy. It will shed some light into why you are yelling, crying, cursing, or spraying champagne all over while you sit together watching TV with your laptop. |

I almost forgot. There is a key step to the whole spraying champagne moments. Take a few hours to cover your room with plastic BEFORE the final out of your championship. You better half will appreciate it even if she initially misreads your plans to celebrate as a scene from Dexter.
You may want to wait to print the championship hats and t-shirts. That is unless you want to see your championship shirts being worn by some villagers in some impoverished country after your team loses. |

Yes, because you want your better half to realize that you're being childish and not psychopathic.

It's worth a read and obviously has interest to OOTP nerds. I got pretty distracted with the switching back and forth between reality and fantasy (which I suppose is the entire point of the book, but it did make the story hard to follow in places I think).

"It Aint So" a good read about the White Sox 1919 and beyond using OOTP, and a real gem in "Dollar on the Muscle", a great history on scouting in baseball full of great anecdotes.
