Anybody have this happen to them?

You wind up following your OOTP baseball teams more than you follow real baseball?

I think I can say I've reached a new level of pathetic because of this.

I go to sleep and dream of having make-believe press conferences. My team lost to Boston 21-3 and all I could think about was what I would say to the media.

Gee, thanks for ruining my life OOTP, now that I've completely detached my life from reality.

It's really bad when you're talking about rookie performance and/or injuries that happen in your game that are different than real life. You need filter your comments when talking to others...Was that real or in my OOTP league???

Maybe if we get committed though, we'll have more time to play!

How about this. I dare anyone to get a real life jersey made of one of your OOTP fictitious players!

My nephew is staying with me for the time being and when he got home last night we talked Sox & Cubs for a bit then i was telling him how i tried trading for him . He is a decent 3B (Clone of A-Ram) playing for the Panasonic Dragons. I told him I tried giving away my top 2 prospects to get him but Peter Polis the GM of the Dragons just wasn't budging. I then went into a rant of sorts about the time in the 2007 Battle of Endor when Polis beaned me with a pitch after we were up 7-1 and the fact that he wouldn't trade my nephew to me is because my team won the Battler of Endor that year and he is still upset about it.
I cared more about my OOTP league then I do about RL baseball. My nephew might have me committed after last night.

It's fine as long as you don't get angry with the members of the media.

It's not pathetic, it shows your passion. I've been the same way since I was a kid and watched wrestling religiously. That's when I started coming up with my own storylines and such and I still do to this day, just not in regards to wrestling anymore.

OOTP should start selling jerseys of fictional teams found in the mod section

Yeah, same here. I've been creating leagues and stories in my head since I was a kid, playing in the yard with my dad. OOTP is the place they come to life the most.

I was channeling my inner Bill Belichik.

Heidi Whatney: How do you handle a big loss like this?

ME: You go to the ballpark and play your next game

HW: But what do you say to the players?

ME: (thinking to myself) I dunno, how would Nick Green handle it?

If there was an OOTP t-shirt, period, I'd buy it.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

It does help that Ernie Harwell and Paul Carey or sometime George Kell and Al Kaline announce every single OOTP game I play. In my OOTP world, guys like Tom Grieve, Josh Lewin, Rod Allen and Jim Price are forced into government experiments involving voice altering drugs that make it so only cats can hear them.

Actually thought about it already. I dated a girl for a bit who liked the Roses jersey in the Nickname project and she wanted to make it herself. We broke up before she could but I do know she bought a blank white jersey for it. So at the least she attempted it.

In my OOTP universe, John Sterling works in one of the concession stands at Yankee Stadium. He gets every order wrong.
