Player Photos
Greetings, I enjoy setting up leagues and updating player photos. I'd like to ensure these player photos don't change back to default pics when setting up a new league. Could someone advise in very simple terms how to permanently change player pics?
Also, I'd like to have many of the Negro League players incorporated into my league. Can this be done easily? Thanks! Ed |

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ootp11-44.html You would have to use his instead of the stock database. i enter the players manually - from data i've gathered over the years, from various books and on-line sources (such as BB Reference & Seamheads)). That's the only way i know, right now, to get all the NL players you may want into the game. HOWEVER ..... there is something in the works to make the Negro League players part of the game in the future (also from Spritze), but Markus said it wouldn't likely happen until OOTP 18. i wasn't certain if it was part of the minor leagues (i suspect it is, but ....) or a Quickstart game .... Speaking of Quickstart games, if you wanted just Negro League players, txranger made one that i used in OOTP 16, and brought it over to 17, but only used it as a template for player info so far. here's a link to that page if you're interested .... hopefully it's still there .... http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ue-1920-a.html hope some of this helps.

Thanks very much. I too have added NL players based on my own research but look forward to it being officially incorporated into OOTP.
With regard to my prior question, what's the best way to update player pics on a permanent basis? Thanks, Ed |

can't really help you there. i started to collect some NL pics from Seamheads, and put them in a NL pic folder and linked them to the individual player with the edit feature, when i had OOTP 16, but it got to be too much work - couldn't find a lot of the pics i wanted, and they often didn't stay working - the game defaulting to either no pic or a stock facegen, so i just went with the stock facegens with 17 for my NL players. Hopefully someone else knows a way to do this that actually works. it would be a nice feature if someone had a historical pic pac for NL player eventually.
