Rough Way To Lose a Playoff Game

Haha...Feel bad for the Red Sox. They no hit me and lose. I ended up coming back from a 2-0 deficit in the best of 5 series because of this game.

Ouch. That's way better than my best playoff story, in which I let my closer bat in extra innings rather than switch him out for a reliever I had less faith in and he hit a walkoff double to clinch the NLCS.

Throwing a no-hitter in a playoff game and still losing. Man.

My toughest loss to stomach:

I was playing at CHW with the Twins. Top of the 8th I'm down 6-4, I put together 3 hits to get to 6-5, runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out.

Then the game is called due to weather.

Just finished up a season where my team did not make the playoffs. The Championship ended up between the Tigers and the Hawks. Below is the log of the final game.

Basically, the Tigers go into the bottom of the 9th up by a run. After a lead-off single a new reliever is sent to the mound, who promptly gives up a pair of singles (tying the game). He loads the bases on an IBB, then hits the next batter, walking in the season-ending winning run.

Cheers!

My team got knocked out in the first round, but 40-year old Mr. Peters saved his best for last, Game 7 ... most likely one of his last hurrahs
