End Year Rosters and 2016 stats?

What I want is last years stats with last years end of season rosters.....is that possible?

With all the trades the rosters won't be the same as last year and the stats for the player rosters from last year are for 2015 stats. I want 2016 stats with the same rosters.

Will I physically have to move everyone back to their end of season rosters to get what i want or is there a file I can download that has end of season 2016 rosters and stats that will input into the OotpBB game?

Or will OotpBB 2018 come with the end of year rosters and one has to upload opening day rosters if they want to have players on the right teams opening day?

that's kind of how sports games work... you pay for the next year's game for last year's players (and stats obviously). madden 14 is '13 players starting the '14 season. this is standard for sports games for at least since nintendo sports games in the 80's. "tecmo bowl"(s) were lke that. all the front page sports sierra ones etc etc

ootp is odd that they release an adjusted roster set in august or later... this will have most deals instituted and at least the july deadline ones. it may miss some stuff that occurs when players slip through waivers late in the year. (not sure if community or ootp made, tbh) imo, what's the point of playing out 2016 if you mimic real life deal that may or may not coincide with the results of your season - motivations will likely be different and that trade may or may not be viable.. and you certainly shouldn't get that mid-season upgrade for prospects at teh beginning of the year... talk about cheating, lol.

download it through mods central accessible through the video game when you load it up - search forums if you have trouble i cannot give useful steps by rote. i believe you can follow a url and download from an ftp site too? shouldnt' be too tough to figure out either way.

i'm not sure if people release current players for previous version uses - this is likely against the eula i'd assume for obvious reasons but who knows... (eula, pfft.. i paid for it, is what i say to apple, verizon and the like, lol, those greedy bast*rds can't get enough, ever)... I had a "razr" cellphone long befor any other verizon customer, because they weren't allowed on their network due to bickering over greed with motorala.

if it's the same file exports / import formatting then it's possible. the game won't care what year it says in the imported file, it just needs to have a place to go in the database, which there is, if it's the same formatting, # of columns etc etc (not rows*).

people used to release newer madden rosters for older versions... probably wasn't legal and not very likely for a game as popular as ootp when compared to a giant EA sports game -- unless it is condoned by ootp.

The updated roster has real value and most if not all other games charge a significant amount of money for it. It's the reason why OOTP is a value added offering for the price.

What about that Lehman's file that comes out every year. Won't that be last years end of season stats and rosters?

ootp may not mind this stuff, it sounds like. i didn't want to say for sure and get hopes up.

is the lehmans a different ratings prediction than how ootp chooses to do it? first quesiton i'd ask.. if it's all done in the same way that's an awesome option for you.

or, you'd have to ask someone to export the players from their game for you. or that lehman's, if the same, is the better way to go. (also export the stats/history and whatever else - i don't know allthe pieces required by rote) --- this, even if they allow some of the other stuff, could definitely be against the eula... secondly, never trust someone you don't know sending files through email... you never want to be low-handing fruit, lol.

(don't ask me, IF i break the eula it's only for personal use - totally hypothetical of course... i admit to nothing specific)

side note for reply above:

a midseason updated roster is added value for those with ocd

i understand it, too... in the past with other games i have completed or even undone recent trades my team made. i don't discount the possibility that i will use a midseason update at some point - i have gotten as far as downloading it before.

but, if it was a midseason acquisition it's a bit hard to rationalize why you start with that player on opening day - aka ~3months early. the motivations for those trades can blow away like smoke, too. and a ratings change is subjective in nature most of the time... half a season shouldn't change much unless it's a very new palyer, even then the sample makes it quite stupid to be too generous about the cahnge (positive or negative). take jd martinez.. i defintitely hand-edited that guy the last couple years - and surprise it looks like he does this year (i tried my best to be realistic about the uptick in ratings and i actually did fairly well... surprise #2), but i didn't know for sure then and neither did ootp. (funny just had a similar forum debate that someone can actually see through the volatility and randomness with certainty :P i think ootp should hire that guy before someone important does)

the yearly update thing totally makes sense, of course. this is a new phenomenom of sports games due to these online stores selling $5 addons (or more) that simply used to come in the box before... they keep finding new ways to bilk more money out of people.. and the customers call it a bonus... "yay we get to pay more for somethign that used to be included with the game purchase. lucky us"... (see: tiger woods golf games)

i'm up on psX for a decade, so i'm sure it's more than just golf games with that problem. i know microsoft is the same way with their console games and online store, too.
