Sports Illustrated's Superstar Baseball

I would like to create a roster of the best players the various major franchises had to offer over their histories, just like the old SI Superstar Baseball card game. (Hopefully, there are some old timers like me that remember that game.)

So, first of all, how do I create those rosters without having to go through a draft. I just want to pick and choose who I think should represent each team.

Then, how do I keep new players (not necessarily of my choosing) from becoming part of each franchise in the amateur draft at the end of each season? Unless there's a way that I can control that someway.

Any help is much appreciated!

There is an All-Time Greatest pre-loaded with OOTP 17. It is in the quickstart games. that would save a lot of time and effort. i haven't used it, so i don't know how inclusive the player list is, but it's a good place to start and see if it fits your needs.

You can also create a text file and make your team up that way. see my attached example.
