Rule-5 Draft

I don't know if this is just a general bug, something I can do to fix it, or something odd, or whatnot.

I'm in offseason at the Rule-5 Draft:

I turn Commissioner Mode off, give drafting and full control to all AI teams, then start the Rule-5 Draft...

There is a player pool of >1700 players.
First pick is Atlanta... but the YANKEES draft Kyle Higashioka (C)
For the next 4 picks the Yankees pick and select him each time.
Until pick 6, belongs to Cincinnati, and the WHITE SOX draft Kevan Smith (C)
Pick 7, Minnesota, White Sox pick Kevan Smith again.
Then pick 8, Detriot's, the Yankees draft Higashioka again.
Until the White Sox pick Kevan Smith again at pick 10... etc.

It goes on like this until my pick, in which one of the two is the recommendation, and they are both available and able to be drafted by me.

Then the Yankees pick him again and so on...

THEN...
even good prospects are available. And anyone I draft from R-5 seems to have very strong trade value. If I shop him around, I get some all-star offers.

I am reasonably confident in saying that there's something wrong there. I doubt you'll see Markus pop up in this thread saying the game is working as intended...

Seriously, though, that's really weird. It almost sounds like there's some file corruption going on, you'll probably be asked to upload your save game to tech support.

I'm good at keeping backups, and using one before I did any of the control change ends up doing the same. But, if I just do a manual draft, everything finishes fine, with no issues after. It's only the R-5 draft.

But another consideration I didn't even remember -- after the season, I changed the date of the Rule-5 Draft to this year's date (which is a lot earlier; Thursday)

So, somewhere between changing the R-5 date, and giving AI control only immediately before draft, something funky happened.

I would still consider sending that over to tech support. If nothing else to let the guys know you found a way to break the game
