Dugout Wizards - Historical with Full Minors, has openings

I'm starting up a new historical league called Dugout Wizards. It's a 1964 start with full rosters, if you go to the site, you can use the menu to view the HTML report & see the rosters.

Available teams are the Cleveland Indians, Los Angeles Angels and Washington Senators.

Coaches are on (I've created real coaches for all teams as historically accurate as possible).
Scouting is off.
The ratings scale we're using is 2-8.
Injuries are set to 'Low'
Finances are on with reserve clause in effect
First draft will be in June '65

New Openings!

DWB has just finished the 1965 season (Orioles downed the Giants in a very entertaining 7-game World Series).

We'll be having a free agent draft in a day or two and then Rule 5, and on to the 1966 season. The rookie draft is in June. This is a great time to get in to have maximum impact on the team prior to the new season getting underway.

The following teams are open:

Chicago Cubs - Banks, Santo, Brock & Billy Williams
Kansas City Athletics - Young Reggie, Campy and picks 3rd in the upcoming draft
Minnesota Twins - Powerhouse 99-game winner. Only a ridiculously solid O's team kept them out of the World Series.
Washington Senators - #2 pick in the upcoming draft. Definitely a challenge after they failed to sign any of their top three picks in the '65 draft (Nolan Ryan, Joe Niekro & Ted Sizemore - all will be back in the pool in '66).

We primarily use Slack for communication, but also have a forum. See the league website for specific rules, etc.

A's are taken. Cubs, Twins & Senators still need a GM.

I neglected to mention that the Senators have Nolan Ryan & Joe Niekro in their minor league system.

We're also having a free agent draft later this week that will have some big-name youngsters in it (Johnny Bench, Catfish Hunter, Rod Carew & Rollie Fingers to name a few). Order is based on a lottery using state lottery games, so it's completely random.

Our Free Agent draft starts tomorrow. Order was randomized - the Cubs pick 7th and the Twins 10th. There are some good prospects in the draft so both teams should each get a 5-star prospect at those spots.
