Crash 2.0.1.43 - 90% of all players called Smith after reload

I was playing a personal created league for 2006 from the Lahman database.

Halfway through the first season, I tried to save my progress to close up the game. During the saving process, OOTP crashed and was closed by Windows automatically.

I'm able to reload the game correctly, but looking at my roster and all the other teams I noticed that approximately 90% of all players, coaches and scouts is somehow called "Smith".

For example:
1) Albert Pujols now became Albert Smith and his nickname was changed to Smith as well.
2) Chien-Ming Wang now became Smith Smith.The commissionar-mode is turned off.

Can't be sure it's a bug, Smith is a pretty common name...

Hi there, drchaotica. Sorry that we didn't respond to this sooner. I'm not fully sure how to respond, since a crash during saving might tend to cause issues like this. If you open up your names.dat file in notepad or somesuch program, does it look messed up?
