Game always Freezes

I am new to the game and this is my first year playing it. I think that it is a great game but for some reason it will always just freeze up at some point. I have tried playing with 3 or 4 different mods and i always run into the same problem. I have also tried playing with the original verison and the new patch that is out.

I really dont know what to do because it just randomly freezes and different times. It will pop up and say OOTP2007 has encountered and error and needs to close. Happens ussally while the game is saving but it does happen some other times. Seems to be totally random. Have gotten 7 or 8 years into a game before it does it sometimes. And other times it will do it the first time it saves. It makes the game pretty much unplayable though because you cant open the save file again after this happens.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I would uninstall the game (leave the license in place, however), defrag the hard drive, make sure to have plenty of free space on the hard disk, then reinstall the game and the patch. If you are still having the same problems after that, you should post this on the Tech Support board.

Good point. The more details and screen prints that you can provide, the better they can help you.

I have posted about this in a few other threads. seems like a similar problem. I just get the error message from microsoft that the program needs to close. with the "send error report" or "dont send error report" buttons. Ussally happens when it is saving.

Have you updated your video card driver? There could be an issue with face gen. What are your system specs?
