vanishing cash
I posted the first half of this problem yesterday in General Discussions, thinking it was a troublesome quirk of the A.I. rather than an actual bug. With the addition of the problem's part two (and the lack of response to my Discussion post), I'm now thinking it's a bug.
1. So I'm in spring training of my league's second season. During year one, most teams made profits and were left with cash reserves. The result seems to have been a very competitive off-season in which 18 of the 24 teams are over-budget, by anywhere from a million to a shade over five million (and that's in 1980 spending, where the average team revenue is less than 25 million). The six teams in surplus are only slightly so. 2. When I wrote that, 22 of the 24 teams (including both of mine, one per subleague) were still "financially sound": their cash reserves were larger than their deficit, although the pattern still seemed pretty threatening. Halfway into spring training, though, most of the teams have smaller cash reserves than deficits, and cannot sign anyone. This, again, includes both of my teams, and I know the change is not caused by additional spending. Any notion what's going on, and how to fix it? |

The Cash Maximum is $4,999,999, and Revenue Sharing is on. But granting that I'm no expert, I don't think that's the issue. The +/- line for Revenue Sharing on the Front Office page had been indicating for months that Revenue Sharing had already taken place.

The full version of patch #2 was released a couple of days back. Can you try downloading that and let us know if your problem repeats itself?
