Poss. bug (feature?) regarding trade negotiations

I got a trade offer from a team. 2 players for 2 players + I had to pony up 3 million in cash. I hit "Negotiate Trade." Regardless of what I did, there was no way to change the trade to not include the 3 million.

No, that one's a feature. They don't want you to be able to constantly tweak the amount of money you offer. It wouldn't be realistic to continually ask your trading partner to accept fewer and fewer amounts of money for the same players and have him tell you exactly how much he'd be willing to take.

Worst comes to worst, though, you can just clear everything out and offer him a brand new trade that was similar to the one he offered you.
