Rule 5 Draft still is not working

3222 Rule 5 draft doesn't take place until 2007 in historical league

I started a historical league with fictional players and after simming 6 years I still have not had a Rule 5 draft. It shows up on the calendar every year but skips past it. This was created post beta patch. The way I set it up was I started a historical league with complete history to 2006. I then used a template to add the minor leagues and finally added four feeder leagues. Once everything was together released and deleted the players and saved as a world template. I created a new league with the template starting in 1994. I am now in year 2000 and every year the rule 5 draft shows up on the schedule of events but it never happens.

Just wondering if there is going to be a response or does is just get added to the list.

There are a lot of issues reported here and only a handful of volunteers to field them. Please be a little patient with us.

Just to be sure, you didn't disable your 40-man roster, did you?

Sorry. No I did not disable 40 man rosters but I did turn off the expand, adjust league strategy, adjust league totals modifiers and recalc from the historical features.

What time of year is the Rule 5 Draft scheduled for?

In your transaction screen, does the # symbol appear next to some players' names to indicate that they are eligible for the draft?

December 1 of the current season then after the playoffs it changes to Dec. 1 of the next year. Yes there are players with # some of those had the feeder league years included but I am now going towards the 8th season so more of them have the correct years of service.

Hrm. What if you disable the Rule 5 Draft and then re-enable it? Is that even possible?

Regardless, can you zip up your .dat files for us and post the filename here so that I can log the issue? Thanks.

Cannot disable it this point in the season but will keep trying. I uploaded file hopefully it is zipped but I have not used winrar to zip before this so I hope it works. Let me know if you need anything else.

I was able to disable the rule 5 draft during preseason. I let a couple of days sim then enabled it I the rule 5 draft started working that year (2003).

This has been claimed fixed for the third patch. If after installing the third patch (once it is released), you find this to still be a problem, please post as such in Tech Support along with the above TT number. Thanks.
