No scroll bars

I go to OOTP preferences, chose lists as "Scroll Bars". Go to the league's inaugural draft, and it still is posting 616 pages at 10 players per page. I want a scroll bar and not pages. How do I get the game to work and actually go by my preference?

Have you tried selecting scrollbars and then exiting the game and coming back in?

I tried as well. Same issue, same league. There's about 6 guys having this problem right now.

This is a problem for the inagural draft only? I see this was already TT'd a while back (#3211) and marked as feature not supported. I can't tell you any more than that as I have no idea why it was marked this way.

The scrollbars will only appear on views with less than 1000 players or so, anything larger and it will default back to pages. I do recall Markus saying somewhere that he's unable to change that, though no rationale was given I think.

Interestingly though, when I did a custom filter and got the number of players down to approximately 100, still no scroll bars.

You mean right after applying the filter, or even if you go to a different screen first and then go back to the first one?

I tried both ways, I tried changing it, closing the game, starting back up, didn't work.

Seems to be tied to the number of data lines the game needs to load (rather than just display) for the view, then. Sorry there's no better news.

So despite it being an option in preferences, it's not supported? That's makes perfect sense

Yeah, filters have no effect either, even after leaving the page/game and coming back later.

I mean, it's the initial draft, when this is the most useful. :sigh:

It's supported for groups of under a thousand, which means most of the time when I play, but no, not inaugural drafts in MLB-sized leagues
