Question About Trial Performance

I downloaded the trial version of the game and I have really enjoyed playing it. I am contemplating buying it, but there is one issue. The game runs kind of slow. When I ask it to "auto play today," sometimes it takes about two minutes before it responds.

So, my question is this: Is that happening because it's the trial version and the actual official version will perform faster?

I have a 3.0GHz PC with 2 Gig RAM and a 300GB HD. I also have an NVidia GeForce 7800 with 512 G of RAM on it. So, I don't think it is my PC (other much more graphic intensive games run fine). Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hmmm, have you defragged your HD lately? Might help. Seems your PC specs are ok. Any other memory intensive apps running at the same time? OOTP can use some memory.

Is it set to autosave every day? If it is, and you've selected a bunch of things to save, it can slow you down.

The problem is very unlikely to be that you're driving the demo, since the demo IS the full game, but time and in-game-date-limited.

Although your hard drive is big, do you have at least 45GB free on it? Microsoft recommends that 15% of your drive be free space, which means alot of free space on a big drive.

Thank you all for your responses. I have recently defragged and have about 100GB free on my HD. But, I will check if I have the AutoSave turned on. I bet that is the problem.
