2 leagues in universe stopped playing games

In a fictional Universe, 2 leagues simmed one year of games and then stopped. There are still players on those teams, payroll, all that stuff. But while the rest of the universe moved on to years 2 and 3, these 2 particular leagues just never played another game. What is wrong with their setup??

This is the PC version...game is patched with 2.0.2.

could there be a schedule issue at play? Have you tried regenerating the schedules for these leagues?

Schedule

Makes sense...gotta be a schedule issue...that's what I thought as well. Tried to regen the schedule, but it says "can only generate a schedule during the preseason" or something like that...date is 1-1-03.

Can't import a new schedule from file either. The weird thing is if you look at the league setup for the affected leagues the FA date and Trade deadline date still reflect the year 2000...which for the other "working" leagues its 2003.

I just reloaded from a saved quickstart and loaded new schedule files for those leagues. Will sim a couple years and see what we got.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated!

still stuck

Well restarting and loading new schedule files didn't help.

something else I noticed is the "auto-play until Even" button is empty...no events listed there to select. And the main league button still lists Spring Training.

Its almost as if the game didn't generate a schedule for these leagues?

dunno...clueless.

Were any of the leagues in this file created after the start of your first setup or did you create all of it at once?

All were created at the same time from a template.

I'm guessing no one has come across this before huh? Oh well..leave it to me to find something whacky.

Was the original template created under the latest patch or previously?

Oh, definitely prior to the patch. It was actually a 2006 import...so it was before Patch 1 as well.

And you stated so, but I'm just confirming, you didn't add these other two legaues TO that template at a later date? Or are you saying that the template itself was from v2006?

The entire template was from 2006...didn't add any teams to it after importing to 2007.

I just messed with this some more this morning and I have no idea if this has anything to do with it but I turned off Spring Training for the 4 independent leagues (2 of which are the ones that aren't moving forward in time), set the expanded roster date to June 30, set the expanded roster size to 40, and then back to "rule disabled", and for whatever reason, everything seems to be working now.

Is there something wrong with Spring Training and teams without minors?

Either way, feel free to close this thread or whatever you do with "non-issues". the planets have aligned and I've simmed 7 years of my Universe. All is good in KooWorld. Thanks for the help and suggestions...if nothing else it kept me troubleshooting instead of just starting over (which, by god, I hate doing)

ST probably not related to this issue, but possibly the no minors as the Reserve Roster comes into play. ST needs a complete and thorough overhaul in v2008, IMHO. The primary candidate in your scenario, again IMHO, is that the template did not originate in the current patch. Just recently, once I recreated a template under the new patch, I was able to 'correct' some of the difficulties I'd had previously with that same template.

Oh, nothing worse than starting over. There is no backup folder for the hours of your life. Once used, they're gone.
