Seems to work okay for me on a pc, at least. You are saying that in the upper left corner of the SION broadcast screen, there is no display of balls and strikes? Do you see where there is space for such information?
Are you playing pitch by pitch or at-bat by at-bat? What screen resolution are you using? Could you post us a screenshot?

Oh, also there's this from the Common Issues thread:
"After installing 1st patch, scoreboard is blank! 1. Close OOTPB 2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2007\data\skins\ootp blue 2007, or whichever folder holds the skin you are using. 3. Delete skin.bin 4. Restart OOTPB"
